Early December

This has been a very busy month so far. Most of last weekend was spent doing the Christmas decorations and shopping, and this weekend we started working on the Christmas cards and did a little more shopping. We also managed to fit in a lot of fun with friends. Yesterday we went to see the Snow Queen at the ART with Darcy and Ryan. The staging and puppetry made it really fun to watch, and Morgan already knew the story from Bill's bedtime reading. On weekday evenings we've been watching the Lord of the Rings movies together, about an hour at a time, and it took us 2 weeks to finish them all. Morgan found them a little scary but I think he really enjoyed them.  We've even managed to go to the cinema twice since Thanksgiving -- we saw the new Muppet Movie a few weekends ago, and today we saw Hugo.  Morgan's been enjoying school and his art classes and violin lessons, and counting down the days til his birthday.  The weather has been really mild this fall, and this weekend was the first time it felt like winter is coming.  Below are some photos from a walk Morgan and I took down to Swain's Pond this afternoon.
